Direct Selling Australia collects personal information from and about individuals for its business purposes. This is information or opinions about an identified individual or someone reasonably identifiable from the information.

DSA respects your privacy and observes legal requirements for collecting, storing and using personal information.

Personal information is acquired as reasonably necessary for business purposes from sources including telephone and online communications, website dealings, correspondence, research and surveys, membership services and administration, complaints management and Code administration. The information includes but is not limited to name, address, date of birth, gender, occupation, business contacts, financial and banking details, online usage, feedback and opinions.

Information is collected from you personally and from other sources. If we consider you would be unaware or would not have expected information to have been collected, we will inform you of how and why it has been collected. Sensitive information will only be collected if you consent or the law requires it.

Personal information may be stored electronically or in hard copy and will only be used for a purpose permitted by privacy law. DSA assures you it will do all it can to maintain the quality, accuracy and security of information held and when possible consent will be obtained before information is used.

Individuals can view and request changes to personal information if you believe it is incomplete, inaccurate, dated or misleading. Information won’t be held if no longer required.
